Full Screen Toggle No Longer Working

Symptoms: on pressing ctrl f, full screen temporarily displays, flickers, exits to normal view; on repeated attempts, same flicker-exit behavior
Worked OK up to about 2 months ago with one flicker-exit on first attempt, but stayed full on second attempt

Version: Magic Performer v2.5 64-bitCopyright (c) 2012-2026 Magic Music Visuals
System: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro (64-bit) Version (Build) 25H2 (10.0.26200)
Processor Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 268V Graphics Intel® Arc™ 140V GPU (16GB) RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)

I tried AI - problem remains - here is what it said"

"The fact that it started ~2 months ago on fresh Lunar Lake hardware (Arc 140V + Win 11 25H2) strongly points to a driver-level incompatibility with exclusive fullscreen mode switching. "

Exact symptom: “Ctrl+F briefly enters fullscreen, flickers, then snaps back to windowed on every attempt. Previously worked with one flicker on first try.”
Versions: Magic Performer v2.5 64-bit, Windows 11 25H2 (build 26200), Intel Core Ultra 7 268V + Arc 140V

Tried:
Deleted %appdata%\Magic folder
Disabled fullscreen optimizations
Enabled Re-Init When Exiting Fullscreen
Panel Self Refresh OFF (and other power options)
Win+Ctrl+Shift+B resets
60 Hz testing
Compatibility mode attempts

Unfortunately, graphics drivers often have these kinds of problems. As a first step, I would suggest upgrading or downgrading your driver.

Of course there's always the possibility of a bug in Magic, but we haven't had any reports of full screen issues in many many years.

You may want also to try disabling the menu option “Exit Fullscreen for Other Apps” and see if it helps.
