Hi,
Which note number is reported when the input of a MIDI file is a chord of which each note starts at the same time (quantized notes)?
Also why is it not possible to link the source to a specific note number, as it is the case with note velocity? If this is possible then one can link certain (or all) notes to trigger different modules with their different behaviour. Or maybe I'm overlooking something? I'm relatively new to MMV.
Thanks for any input!

Hello
You can link any parameter to any midi note. First you have to a midi source, of course, and then you can set the way parameter are modulated: by notes, by specific midi note/velocity, by control number..
Cliking on "source feature" on any module will run the midilearn and you just have to enter the note or controller you wan

Thanks for the reply! So if I understand you correctly, ONLY with the MIDI learn function I can link to a specific note.
In the meantime I figured that when I change the velocity to a fixed amount, say 64 for all notes, and then use the link to Note Velocity, this would be the same as linking to a specific note? Am I right?

Re: MIDI note number of a chord
If you implement this node group, you'll be able to see chords. Where 'Midi Piano' is the source midi channel with the chords in it.
Or, if you want to see which notes are being played...

Thanks! I will try out this module setup, hopefully to get insight in how midi notes of a chord are processed.
