New Laptop: Cannot activate MMV -- what to do?

Aloha from Honolulu,

Magic Music Visuals was loaded on a laptop that had its hard drive wiped and which I no longer own.

When I tried to activate MMV on my new laptop, I get a pop-up saying my copy of MMV is already on the maximum number of computers.

How do I "tell" MMV that this is the only computer I've got? MMV is not loaded elsewhere!
