Magic completely supports alpha internally so you could work with multiple tracks completely in Magic and only render out the final res...

The direct (first) input to the second translate is the image centered, and the second input via the first translate is a copy of the image moved to align with the edge of the first image. We now have two of the same image side-by-side. The second translate slides both images together. The Ramp loop...

Yes, there's a few ways to do this but here's one that doesn't require any extra stuff.
Scrolling speed is controlled by the ramp. You may have to adjust the "3.55" value according to your selected image.

It is hard to tell from your screen shot how complex your scenes are though I can just about make out that you're exporting to UHD. On my laptop, a 6 min playlist export to UHD takes approx 20 mins for OpenH264 and approx 15 mins for x264 exporting to NVME. How does this compare with yours?

Can you see anything in the output window (e.g non-reactive simple polygon)?

Re: Video mapping showreel
I know what you mean about not being a fan of your own voice! OK just so we get definitions right, a chaser describes the effect of displaying something across each mapped surface in turn. If you can imagine 3 sides of a cube being viewed from a corner and the projection shows content on each side i...

Most modules are fine but there's few shaders that could do with an option to respect alpha.

Re: Visual music should be more popular!
It is a good question and a difficult one to answer. In my experience it is perhaps for a number of reasons - take all with suspicion. Firstly, we live in the most vibrantly visual world full of fantasy, hyperrealism, psychedelics, tone, aesthetic that has been developing for centuries. It is a visu...

A tutorial would be welcome, thanks. Chasers and other (cliche?) PM effects, achieving accurate predictable perspective foreshortening, the practical mapping process, directing content to individual slices, slice groups or all slices.

Re: Integrate MMV with Unity 3D
MMV can handle a small range of textured 3d model file-types. As others have found, the most reliable for textured objects is collada DAE. Other than that, as you say, no PBR, HDR lighting, etc. Remember that MMV walks the line between frame-rate, latency and visual quality. That said, there are sev...

Have two scenes, one with the logo in the middle and the second with the logo moving to the corner. Control the timing with the playlist.

Re: Text Effects
Rather than specifically for text, this drop shadow method, and many other effects, can be applied to any element. For example "Stylise->Edges" will give you thin outline and Erode a thicker outline which can be applied over the original text. You can make glows by blurring and applying th...

Yes it is possible. A translate module configured thus will move its input to the bottom right corner and stop there when the scene is first opened or re-synchronised.

Re: Ableton Channel Support
Sorry, I've since uninstalled Cakewalk and VoiceMeeter. What I remember is that CW allowed me to enable 4 of 8 outputs to VM (not sure if mono or stereo) in driver preferences. I wasn't sure which routes would work so I just cycled through what was available in Magic and in the CW track list. I used...

I don't know or own Ableton so I downloaded free Cakewalk to test this. With the help of VoiceMeeter I managed to route separate tracks from that DAW into Magic. Just audio. voicemeeter.png I piped them into corresponding Waveforms each with a different source. I could see the different channels in ...

Re: Any chance of having an iOS Magic-AR experience?
Do you have a use-case for AR? I guess there would be an possible avenue for interactive installation but AR is, by definition, from a single user's perspective - either through mobile device or AR/VR wearables. If there was a way to get the iPad screen syphoned into Magic, multiple people could see...

There are over 36,000 shaders on ShaderToy. Their licence is CC share-alike non-commercial in order to encourage learning and sharing techniques. It doesn't matter if the shader is explicit about licencing, they are non-commercial by default. Some shader may be more explicit. In a perfect world we w...

Any midi controller would work with Magic. I have a APC40 Mk1 and it was simple to set up. Physical button are nice but the tablet is smaller and more configurable and I can label...

The iterator is one of the few modules that doesn't seem to do much by itself and because there are several aspects to it, it could be tricky to understand. With an iterator in the circuit, the # is propagated back to all modules that access the internal Iterator or the iterator source. Each module ...

Perhaps you want something more sophisticated but a randomised transparency seems to be acceptable to me.
First Random controls the full ON/OFF flicker and the second the more subtle flickers. The offset controls the intensity and the threshold controls the amount of full ON/OFF.
