Magic Music Visuals

Hey, So I tried running the latest version of magic and I get no audio playback when i press the play button, Ive tried reloading, replacing, changing buffer size and deleting inputs, (did that with older version and It made it play) but its definitely a bug,

The slider does not move, I tried this in Yosemite and upgraded to El Capitan OSX and it made no difference.

Running a Clarret 8preX Thunderbolt soundcard on a Mac Pro.

Magic's audio playback uses whatever output device you have selected in System Preferences. Try selecting the Built-In Output device, and then restart Magic, and see if playback works. It's a good first test. Let me know what happens.

Cannot select a defualt output, anyway to downgrade to older magic?

The configuration in that screenshot is correct -- you don't need to do anything else in System Preferences or in Magic. The drop-down box in the Audio/MIDI window is for input only, so don't worry about it for now. Just try importing an audio file and see if playback works.

When I click play nothing happens in any output setting and usually freezes on first startup, so I restart it, load the song, press play, button goes down but no sound and slider does not move.

Ok, I'm not sure what's happening, but I've never heard of Magic not working with the Internal Speakers on a Mac. There must be something else going on. Are you running any other audio applications at the same time?

Okay so I just tried loading an audio track with my Soundcard off and the audio plays now, Any way I can get it to work with my Clarret 8preX soundcard?
I remember the older versions working with my other soundcards

I am not familiar with that particular sound card, but Magic should work with all sound cards. It is probably some kind of configuration issue. Can you run the Audio MIDI Setup app, select your sound card output, and post a screenshot?

You might also want to try setting your sample rate to 44100 or 48000.
