Hello All,

I was wondering is there a feature or way to make Magic switch between scenes automatically on beat? Similar to the go to beginning of video feature.

Thanks!

Hi
If you are using the playlist the the only way I have found of doing it is to work out the timings in seconds and put those values in to the playlist.
I dont know if this is right or wrong but it works :)
If you want to switch scenes using a module then I find something like this works

Again...right or wrong I dont know lol...I am a n00b.
Good luck :)

EDIT - Sorry the picture could be a bit clearer...the 001,002 etc inputs are other scenes added using the add scene option.

I think you want the input selector node. I demonstrate it being used with sound and math as drivers but I could probably use it with my Octratrack via Midi, in fact that would probably be the best way to use the input selector, that is, via midi. In the same patch is help with Alpha channels using the Luma Matte to cut holes into planes and a very, very simple 3D space set up. Hope this helps you and possibly others.

Yup that's exactly how I'd do it :).

FYI, if you guys want to attach .jpg or .magic files, click on the "Upload attachment" link which is just below the Submit button (when you're writing/editing your post).
