Magic Music Visuals

Hi everyone! Short time user of Magic here, and so far, I have to say, using this program is quite fun an easy! Within the past 5 days, I have 3 videos, one exported, and two on the way. When I do get the chance and circumstances, I'm definitely buying this!

Anyways, my one request (for now) is that in some future iteration, maybe give spectrum more options. Things like: How many bars? What width do you want the bars? Things like that. I suppose I'm looking for a more modern format, something similar to what you'd see on a Monstercat video or something, and currently, I can't quite find a way to achieve that result. I'm not too big of a fan of large bulky bars, and I don't really like the though of squishing them together to make them look thinner, but take up less x-axis. Although, if there's some trick I'm missing to get the result I'd like, please do tell me!

Thanks . I agree that the Spectrum module could have a few more options. There will actually be a new way to draw a spectrum in the next release of Magic. But, there is also a way to create a totally customizable spectrum using Magic's frequency range features: https://magicmusicvisuals.com/downloads ... ioFeatures.

Here's a post with an example project of a 30-band spectrum I created: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49&p=395&#p395. You can download it and play around with it. that's a good news for spectrum !
about the waveform module, it could be nice to have more visual options too. I'm using a lot the ffgl audio scope from bigfug , you can have some great results especially with the width and config parameters , but unfortunatly , due to ffgl audio limitation, you must use the default sound device as input , not asio, so it's not possible to do a multipiste/ visual project with it . Adding different modes could give a great versatility to the waveform module

Ok, I will certainly look into that . But I do think you could get most of those modes just by adding more effects after the waveform display.

For example, this video was created with only a Waveform module as the source. Then, several effects were added, including a couple shaders from the Tutorial forum (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=220#p724), and some of the built-in modules (RadialBlur, Contrast, Trails):
