Status of native Apple Silicon (M-Series) / Metal version? Frequent OpenGL crashes on macOS Sequoia

Hi Eric and Magic Community,I’ve been using Magic Studio for years to develop and manage my extensive library of custom GLSL shaders (currently over 4,000 shaders).
It is a core part of my coding pipeline to create my energetic and transformative tools. You can see the final results of my shader coding and layouts in my official shop here: https://thedivinemagician.gumroad.com/
However, since upgrading to a modern Apple Silicon Mac and running the latest macOS Sequoia (15.6.1), I am encountering severe stability issues during my workflow.
Whenever I try to open the internal Preview Window, the app instantly crashes with a Segmentation Fault (Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) / Code Type: X86-64 Translated).According to the crash reports, the combination of the Intel binary running via Rosetta 2 and the deprecated OpenGL framework causes the JUCE message/UI thread to collapse when compiling or previewing certain complex shader codes.

While I can use a dual-screen workaround to display the separate window for tomorrow's event, not being able to use the built-in preview window severely disrupts my coding environment and tool development.

Could you please give us an update on the status of a native Apple Silicon (ARM64) / Metal version of Magic?
Is there currently a beta branch or an experimental build available for developers running modern Macs on macOS 15?

Thank you so much for your amazing work and support!

We sent out an email a month ago to all registered users announcing the 3.0 Beta which supports Apple Silicon natively. Please check your spam folder and/or make sure your email address is updated in your account.
