V3 No Buffer Size?

Post by instantsonic »

Heya Magic devs! Where did the buffer size adjustment go? It's in V2, but it's definitely gone out of the Input Sources dropdown in V3... :(

That never really worked properly, so we devised a more intelligent system for it. Are you noticing an issue with it?

Yes, I use bluetooth speakers at times in order to sync with the delay at conventions, so the buffer adjustment came in super handy... not being able to manually adjust it is a big dealbreaker on it's usefulness at my live shows, unfortunately... :(

But the buffer adjustment was for audio input only, not output. Can you clarify?

Basically, the animations that I play do not sync correctly with the delay that bluetooth has, unless I can correct it with the buffer. It ends up delaying the animations to the point that they can sync with bluetooth.

Ok. So just to make sure I understand. Magic is getting a live input from some source, and the speaker is also getting input from that same source? But Magic responds quickly, whereas the speaker doesn't?
