There hasn't been a need really so far and it's probably more of a pet peeve, but while I noticed the download link for each version is located in its own directory on the fileserver, each new version shares the exact same filename as every other version. I've been manually adding the version number as I download each file for archival. Is there a reason they aren't provided this way by default?

Good question. It just helps a little bit with preventing antivirus/antispyware programs from blocking them. Otherwise, brand new filenames which are not in their databases can be initially marked as suspicious.
