Hi,
I have a video that I made in Premiere Pro. It has both audio and video (it's music and imagery)..........and.......... I want to use one single video file, like an MP4 file as both a media file, and the (Audio) Input Sources.
Can you use a single MP4 file as both the audio (input source) and (media) video file in MMV?
If so how?
Thanks

Re: Video File as Video and Audio Source?
Briefly, it's currently not possible to use a single file for video and audio, although many requests have been made for this.
You need to make a separate audio track.

Re: Video File as Video and Audio Source?
First - THANK YOU so very much for replying. Sometimes you play around with software, and you can miss something. But you have at least confirmed that it is not set up that way. Does the developer still make changes to the software (aka - is there even a remote change this feature will be added)??
SECONDLY - How can you "start" or "run" the audio when exporting or generating an output video file???
In "edit" or "design" mode, I am able to pretty much "sync" the video and various fx to the audio. I have a Global variable from Playback Time which comes from the Input Source or audio.
I trigger the Media->VideoFile "GoTo Start" button when the Playback Time > 0.05
I trigger several of my video fx, or technically a Transparency Fx after the video fx, and just before the Magic output window; so at various times in the audio (certain Playback Times) I turn on/off (make Transparent) different video fx.
However.... I need to "run" or "start" the audio in the export process - to get the video fx to happen at the right time. Is there a way to do that? Is there a way to "start" or "run" the audio in the export or video generation process??
Thanks Again!

Re: Video File as Video and Audio Source?
Exporting video fully respects Playback Time and any actions/events derived therefrom. Export also respects playlist timings. The only things export doesn't respect is live audio (microphone or soundcard) and a few effects that require access to previous frames (e.g. trails, which change according to frame rates)
Re: Video File as Video and Audio Source?
Thank you for this..... I based my thoughts on what I saw as the software rendered the output. BUT IN FACT.... when you go to the completely rendered video; you see exactly what you stated.
Thanks!
