Pin individual modules

Pressing ctrl-G to organise a scene is pretty good until it becomes a complex scene, then it tends to stretch everything horizontally.
It would be a nice feature to be able to pin individual modules in place and then have ctrl-G work it's magic.
If, for example, there was 15 modules and I pinned 1, 5 and 10 where I wanted them, and then used ctrl-G, those modules would stick in place and the rest would be moved relative to them.
Hard to describe, but instead of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15
it would be

/
/
5-6-7-8-9

10-11-12-13-14-15
This would make the UI way better.

In the
good ol' days I asked for a similar mechanism,
consider the suggestion to more neatly stack modules, having connectors somehow connect vertically.
Also in that thread I suggested that nodes be stacked more closely. Tixl didn't exist in the good ol' days but the dev there implemented stacked nodes a while ago:

Personally, I never use auto-arrange to organise my modules, preferring to do it manually but I can certainly understand the OPs request. But I think the idea would have to be developed further (and have more user interest) before the Magic folks weigh-in.

FWIW, unless I only have about 5 modules, I have given up on auto arrange, it tends to make things worse.
Maybe for another thread, a great feature would to be able to zoom in and out and move around the workspace like in touch Designer and Tixl.

I'd really like the ability to group a set of modules into one box, just to hide all the individual modules whose settings should (usually) be fixed. It would cut down on the clutter.
