So I was just wondering while I wait for this video to render why doesn't it use all of my GPU or CPU or something? It seems like it isn't using my entire computer to speed up the process like other software tends to do... Is this intentional or is there a setting I am missing or something?
Magic Not Maxing Out GPU (or anything)
Re: Magic Not Maxing Out GPU (or anything)
You're doing something wrong if you're not using 100% gpu.
Seriously, try Afterburner, that gives a more accurate picture of resource use. Some things are parallel, some are serial (audio, video), some are memory based, some storage based (audio, video). So if your scene has few things that can be parallelised and is reading audio and video of the SSD then Magic won't be using 100% of anything. Magic does render out faster than real-time but there are limits.
