Hye,
I'm looking for a way to visualize phrasal stress.
For the moment, this is what I do :
using sonic visualiser, I'm using the pYin pluging (monophonic pitch and note tracking) from Matthias Mauch with stems as plot type. I'm doing this on an audio file which speed I have reduced by 60%. It shows me the "bumps" in the pitch. For some sentences this works fine, like this one :
but many times, I'm getting very hatched images, like this one :
So I'm looking for a way to visualize the tone and pitch changes iin a different way, without white spaces between certain letters, f.ex. like a presentation in bars, like an equilizer :
It doesn't have to be real-time analysis, I just want a static picture.
Can this be obtained by any MAGIC?
static frequency spectrum in vertical bars?

Hmm, are you looking for a different method of pitch analysis? Or just a different way to plot your data?

Re: static frequency spectrum in vertical bars?
well, it's the result in static vertical bars I'd like.
I don't really care the way the result is obtained.
I guess that in order to visualize phrasal stress, one need a mix of both tone and pitch changes...

Honestly I'm not sure if Magic is the software you want to use for graphing data. What about something like Matlab? http://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab/. That's really the best tool for accurate data visualization.
Or maybe try Processing, which is free: https://processing.org/
