Magic Music Visuals

N00B here- I am trying to duplicate a tutorial video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1sdQBarcDc using Magic Performer 2.31, and when I try to use a previous scene as a source for the new one, no modules work in the new Scene to modify it further. I am connecting everything as per the video, but when I get to the second scene nothing works. Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Found the answer- using preview + edit to create a new preview window for the current scene. Not obvious, but I found it. Problem solved
