Audio sources

Hi there!
In playing around with the input sources in the Studio edition I could only see dedicated channels of my audio interface as opposed to audio devices on my Mac. Though I'm migrating to Windows soon, I wonder whether this is resolved in the Performer edition so I can use various audio devices as input source in addition to the dedicated channels on my audio interface. I find that this feature is indispensable as I can then use aggerate devices as input source and, for example, get audio straight from any DAW. I'm aware that if this option doesn't exist, this post belongs in the "feature request" area. So please feel free to move it accordingly.
