Subfolders for "Collect Assets..."

I often use long image-sequences with automatically generated image names, collected in subfolders like "Sequence1", "Sequence2" etc.

When I collect all assets, the resulting folder structure is flat with one folder for all the files.
The problem:
- it gets quite messy in that folder
- problems with duplicate filenames

A checkbox with the option to create a subfolder (preferably the name of the folder where the images were located) for all images from one folder would be great.
Simplified Example:

c:\pics\cam1\Sequence1\pic2.jpg
etc.

c:\pics\cam2\Sequence2\pic1.jpg
c:\pics\cam2\Sequence2\pic3.jpg
etc.

c:\Photos\2021\Vacation\Backgrounds\Photo1.png
c:\Photos\2021\Vacation\Backgrounds\Photo2-png
etc.

Resulting folder structure:
c:\Magic\Project1\Media-Files\Sequence1\...
c:\Magic\Project1\Media-Files\Sequence2\...
c:\Magic\Project1\Media-Files\Backgrounds\...

There still could be duplicate folder names (means images from 2 identically named folders, but in different locations would still end in the same folder), but even with this limitation life would be much easier.

Not to revive this post but is this going to come to fruition? It would really be helpful as I have almost 500 files to collect assets from in a couple dozen folders, I'm afraid to collect them and end up with duplicates in the project.
