How would you approach making a waveform look like a rectangle?

I've been struggling with this for a day now.

Can you be more specific?

A waveform really doesn't ever look like a rectangle. It looks like ripples in water.

You can do that pretty easily with a combination of Scale, Rotate, and Translate modules.
