MMV controlling DMX PARs/Light Bar?

I have three Thinpar64 PAR cans, and a TriStrip3Z from Venue ProLine. All DMX, all currently run via an Obey 3 DMX board.

Would I be able to control them all from within MMV if I got the following:

EntTec Open DMX USB
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... -interface

LightJams
https://www.lightjams.com/#featureSection

LightJams says it supports the EntTec, so those two go together fine.

The question is whether the translation will work all the way from MMV through to the lighting fixtures. I've only used MMV for visualisation on videos and OBS overlay layers, so far, so I've no experience trying to control physical lighting with it. And the EntTec doesn't explicitly list MMV.

Ready to drop the money on both extra pieces, if it'll work. Don't want to toss away money if it won't.

Can anyone give a fairly definitive answer? (I'd take better than fairly...) :)

Thanks!

By no means an authoritative answer, but in the meantime AFAIK:

Magic does not have MIDI or OSC output, so cannot drive Lightjams except to a limited extent by using Lightjams' "Video color to lights" capability (perhaps via Spout).

Extensive control of Magic is possible via MIDI or OSC so you could perhaps drive Magic FROM Lightjams' MIDI or OSC output.

There is a pre-release version of Magic which does have OSC output, and it would let you control LightJams. I'd be happy to let you try it.

Any chance I can test out this pre release Eric? I really want to try to integrate data output from Magic to Beyond for lasers and lighting.

Thanks
