Magic Music Visuals

Hi, I suffer with tinnitus in my left ear and find this causes me difficulty in games which rely on positional audio as it makes it difficult for me to identify the direction a sound is coming from. I was wondering if I could use this software to create a visualisation which would graphically represent the direction from which sound is coming from as a kind of radial equaliser display with amplitude being the overall level of sound and angle being the direction the sound is coming from?

You could definitely do something that would indicate position on a left/right spectrum, but to determine angle you would need surround sound (5.1 channels).
