counter in seconds / Bach TemPlate

Hi Eric,

Is there a countdown timer available for display in a Magic video?

Youtube counts a view as 30 secs.

I'd like to include a countdown timer that introduces a discount offer after a time limit -- like the 30 sec mark or 45 sec mark.

I'd like to work on ways to manipulate Youtubers to watch for a certain amount of time.

I went thru the forum and looked at the posts, but I'm looking for a way to include a small timer in the corner of the video - instead of one that takes up the entire screen.

The other question is about the keyboard player you have in one of the preset videos. The one with the Beethoven pic in the right corner ( I believe you created that one).

If you are using that preset for music that contains drums / bass / etc. how do you use the keyboard player for just the melody of the song? So far I've only seen that preset used on piano instrumentals ? (i'm working from memory here - it may work on songs)

I know the video example in the forums uses it with a solo piano.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Please provide a link?

Hello,

Thanks for the counter info.

The template used in this example . https://magicmusicvisuals.com/forums/vi ... f=5&t=1916

I decided to help out and actually look up the template and not work from memory (lol) .....

I'm guessing this is the Bach.mid template?
(after looking the example Magic files for a while that guess may not be right)

What Magic example file is used in that link?

I'm assuming it is a version of the Midi file examples ....

Is there a way to use a combination of the a song and a midi file ? ... meaning have the song/beat run while the midi file plays the melody (or bassline etc.) and both be controlled by the same clock/playlist ?

That is MIDIPiano. Yes, of course you can combine an audio file and a MIDI file.

I thought that was the MidiFile example ... unfortunately I am getting the error above and that's why I can't work off the example.

How do I fix this ?

I think it's because you have the Studio edition. Only the Performer edition supports MIDI.

Ok, cool. Merry Xmas. Upgrading to Performer (lol).

Before I asked U the same question I ask you every year, I read this :

https://www.videomaker.com/article/c05/ ... st-quality

Cuz I figure I would get the H264 upgrade as well while I'm at it.

After I read it .... (I want you to know I am trying to figure this out) , I'm back to the question

Will the H264 upgrade make some of the visual features look better on Youtube?

Unfortunately there isn't any new information regarding YouTube. As described in all the other posts, the problem is really on YouTube's side.

Hey yeah Youtube is the one doing the crunching, not Magic. I remember now.

As far the Bach template is concerned:

I purchased the upgrade .... that opens up files in the MidiFile example but it doesn't show the Bach example.

The guy who made that video said he copied your video example almost verbatim .... and I thought I saw that example in the video examples before as well.

But now when I open the PianoMidi example I get :

The idea that tmpg19 came up with about a MMV marketplace is a great one.

Let the MMV experts get paid. 8-)

Hard to tell without seeing more of your project and examining the MIDI file. I'd start by making sure that your notes are actually on channel 1 because that's what you have selected.

Did you ever figure out what was happening? I just recently got magic myself, and have been experiencing the same issue as you; the piano isn't registering any of the midi information in the file. At first I thought it was an issue with my midi files, but I used bach.mid, which was already in the sample project folder, and noticed the same issues.
