Translate temporaly video(not with speed)

Post by aisse »

Hello,
I have simple question but I don't find answer : how translate video, temporarily, in response to audio input? If there is a beat in music, I want to my video move to 3 seconds or 75 frames for example. I tried to make this effect with the speed effect but we see the acceleration... I want it is believed that the video is cutted for music .
I hope you understand what I say, sorry for my bad english, I'm french.

To have the video jump to a specific time in response to a beat, you would need to use two parameters: Start Time and Goto Start. Set the Start Time to your desired time (like 3.0), and then link Goto Start to Volume. Every time there is a beat, the video will jump to time 3.0.

You could also use MIDI to control the Start Time, so that the time changes however you want, or you could use a Ramp so that the Start Time increases continuously. Like this:

I think that's what you're looking for. Let me know.
