Problem with loading .gif

I want to load some gif pics and don't want to convert them because i want to check the result with the transparent background. But I just get a black screen. loading seems to be impossible.

You're right, it looks like those files don't work because they use an 8-bit palette. I'll fix this for the next version.

In the meantime if you convert the images to standard 24-bit RGB or 32-bit RGBA, they should work fine.

Hi Eric! Thanx for the megafast help. Don't worry about this 8bit thing. I just wanted to chop up some picture-cuts in photoshop. So I got to convert them anyway. I realized that you can make really strange things with them and the kaleidoscope. And using gifs gives you more options for the background. I'm actually experimenting with it. You'll see it when I finished.
