COMPARING GLOBALS

Is there any way to compare Globals? Or, are there plans to let the EXP modifier use Globals?
Right now I'm working on an interactive piece for a festival. I'm taking two mic inputs attached to drums and using them to drive the scale of an object.
What I would like to do is use the inputs, so that one participant will increase the size of the object, and the second participant will reduce the size of the object based on their drumming, like a battle of sorts.
I can create modifier stacks to do either, but can't find a way to combine/compare the two values.
