Demo Program Freezes after WAV file load

When I go to load a wav file, I am presented with an error message that reads "Couldn't open any audio output device". After clicking "Ok" the file loads and the program freezes. The only way to exit the program is by ending the process in Task Manager or closing the window from the Task Bar.
I can see my audio device driver in the drop down in the Audio/Midi window. Here's my setup:

Window 7 64 bit
Focusrite Saffire 6 USB (Newest Driver)
Magic Music Demo 64 bit

The drop down box in the Audio/MIDI window is actually just for input, not output (although I am planning to change this). The output uses whatever you have selected as your default playback device in the Windows Control Panel > Sound configuration. I'd take a look there and make sure things seem to be set up correctly.

Obviously Magic shouldn't freeze and I'll definitely investigate, but hopefully the above will help in the meantime at least.
