Hey Guys,

Long time user.

Upgraded to 2.0, used for about a month now. Love the dark GUI.

So the example of stream would look like this...
http://192.168.1.9:8080/video

Now, I know in the manual it states that it needs to be encoded as a .Mjpeg but its just honestly not my expertise in knowing how to transcode it live.

Any help would be awesome guys, thanks!

Gonzo

It doesn't actually have to be mjpeg, it can be pretty much any format. The example provided just happens to be mjpeg.

I can't check out your stream because it's local to your network, but your URL does appear to be formatted properly. Is it not working?

Hmm I'm not sure. When you enter the URL directly into your web browser (on the same computer as Magic), does it work?

Hey Eric,

Im using IP Camera from one of my phones.

it used to work without issue.

I used to format them like this....
http://192.168.1.**:8080/video
(depending on the port)

I can pull it up in my browser without issue.

When i make a new scene and only use magics out and the videostream module, I get a black screen.

thanks again for the help Eric.

Cheers C

Thanks, can you also let me know who is the author of this particular app? (There are a lot of apps with a similar name and I want to make sure I have the right one so I can test it.)

Hi,

I don't want to go offtopic, but I don't think a separate thred is needed.

What is the most optimal way/software to load in Magic images from another App ? Spout is too dificult for me and ManyCam is something I hate.
From the examples above, it seems you are loading your stream from somewhere locally ? Care to share some knowledge ? :)

Regards,
S.
