I am against video soup with few exceptions and there's always a risk when combining multiple techniques and multiple elements that one ends up with (literally blended) soup. There's also a risk that continually adding effects and reactivity, that other elements get lost or overwhelmed. In this video I combine drostes, height-maps, several different shaders and a number of other effects to create, what I think is, a (still) relatively clean, focused and coherent visual. The 'narrative' needs more fine tuning but it's also getting there.
Combined techniques
Re: Combined techniques
Well done Sadler! Love the look of it and the way it reacts to the different frequencies... Inspiring : )
