Real-Time Light Painting with Magic ?
Re: Real-Time Light Painting with Magic ?
I'm sure I saw (at least one) fragment shader that that implemented painting with light though I can't find one now that doesn't use multiple buffers. You could find a feedback shader and a webcam and a torch.

I feel like part of this effect could also be done with the trails effect, no?
Re: Real-Time Light Painting with Magic ?
If there was an option to trail only pixels above certain saturation, it would yes.mikeymalone wrote:I feel like part of this effect could also be done with the trails effect, no?
I will post, if I find something suitable.

You could try using the LumaKey module to isolate the bright parts of the video, then using the Trails module to add the streaks, and then layering the result back on top of the original video.
