Microphone issue! HELP!

So I went to use Magic after not using it for awhile and it is giving me an error that is can't find my microphone!

I have an all-in-one desktop so the webcam/microphone is built in to the display.

I bought an external webcam that didn't work. But an external USB microphone, that didn't work. Only thing seemed to work is plugging apple headphones with the mic on them in and then my scenes reacted to sound again.

Is there a way to change in Magic what mic it is looking for?

I need to use this Saturday night!!
