Sharing project with ISF

Post by cdrtz »

I would like to share the project I am working on with my collaborators. In my installation I have some .fs shaders in my Additional Module Folder. Will the additional modules used in my project be embedded in the project automatically? If I use Collect Assets I can see that GLSL shaders, i.e., .txt files which I added manually using the GLSLShader module, are correctly added to the output folder. In the output folder I can also see a file MyProject_ExternalModulePaths.txt which correctly lists the paths to the used .fs. Are the .fs self contained in the project or do I need to manually share them and ask everybody to correctly place them in their Additional Module Folder?

Thank you!

Yes, for now you do have to manually share them. ISFs are not considered project assets because they have to be scanned when the application starts. Otherwise there would be no way to have them in the menus.
