I am trying to find more programs that work with vidcap. Programs that act as virtual cameras and that can capture other applications to mix into Magic. I have 4-6 programs producing real-time output that I want to mix in with videos in Magic.
I have only found ManyCam (http://manycam.com/) and Magic Camera (http://www.shiningmorning.com/) Manycam can capture multiple windows but can only send one at a time to Magic. It can send one stream to multiple applications but what I'm looking for is a program that can do the opposite: send many streams (of desktop applications) to one application.
I'm really hoping someone can help with this.
Thanks,
Leon.
Which programs work with vidcap?
Re: Which programs work with vidcap?
Found another one: Screen Camera from http://www.pc-windows-software.com/scrc ... mation.asp
Re: Which programs work with vidcap?
Probably not the correct module to integrate with .. but is there a way to stream a dvd, from any program into magic?
Re: Which programs work with vidcap?
Good question. Is the DVD copy protected? If not, I'd probably recommend converting it to a video file. Then you can just play it with the Video module. That's how you'd get the best quality.
Or, another way that just occurred to me is to use ManyCam, as noted above -- a great little program. It will let you capture a real-time video feed of an area of the screen. Then, in Magic, you select ManyCam as your input in the VidCap module. I just tried it and it works pretty well.

Re: Which programs work with vidcap?
Thanks for the reply. I use Magic for Neurofeedback therapy and sometimes incorporate videos that clients own in the therapy as something that is known to them to activate specific networks in the brain. And sometimes it is just their own footage recorded on dvd. Will try ManyCam.. thanks.
