Dear all,
many thanks for you help and support - so I bring up here another problem.
I have 2 Text nodes in a project. Usually only ONE of them is active working as a swapping character. I did this for a certain time with the Input selector and it workes fine.
Now I had the idea in the year 2026 to make it more "elegant" with a CROSSFADE.
So I removed the InputSelector and changed it to a Mix node.
Unfrotunately,
then I can never see at any time an output at all at the Mix node.
Pressing the "bypass" mode at the mixer brings up my both Text nodes then of course and as expected, but thats not the idea of the project.
How can I crossfade Text nodes elegant? What I am doing wrong or missing? Setting an Alpha did not change anything, so far?
Mixing 2 Text Nodes with Mix fails
Re: Mixing 2 Text Nodes with Mix fails
I can't reproduce that problem here.
Can you provide a screenshot?

Re: Mixing 2 Text Nodes with Mix fails
I have added 3 screenshots
1 with the InputSelector - thats fine - output is the green "OPEN" - OK.
2 with Mix position 0 - NO output
3 with Mix position 1 - NO output
still on v2.33

Re: Mixing 2 Text Nodes with Mix fails
Ok. Mix uses the current module state in order to do blending. Your Translate modules are translating offscreen, so that's why you see nothing. If you disable everything after Mix, you'll see what I mean.
InputSelector doesn't have to blend since it's only showing one input at a time, so it just happens that your Scale module afterward is correcting your offscreen translation.
