Fresh Pressed Deity - psytrance music video

Post by Volksta »

I just got this software a week ago, and I am genuinely amazed what can be achieved with a moderate amount of work! I can tell I will use this software a lot. Here is my first music video:

I like it. Visually well done and suits the music. Overuse of kaleidoscope IMO, though it is put to some good use in the first half - second half is gratuitous kaleidoscope. Make sure your images reach the edge of the output and you have Corners turned on when using it.

I hope to see more of your stuff posted here but a note for the future, use the media button to embed YT video in your posts.

Thanks for the feedback Sadler, and apologies for my slow response - just went on my honeymoon! :P

I did have corners turned on, so I was a bit confused by the black lines, but I left as is for now. A lot of kaleidoscope indeed. It kept tickling my eye (and still does)!

My apologies, was not aware of the embedding button! Fixed that now. More videos will indeed come. Had so much fun doing this that I will certainly make a video for every new track I release. Really wonderful software. What I am missing the most is the ability to write expressions involving a time variable tracking the playback time.

Simple but effective video that supports the song (which I like) well.
I think it would have been better to make the whole video in the style of the first half (or repeat the first half with some simple changes) instead of just the kaleidoscope.
But all in all it's well done, I like it.

Thank you TKS! Indeed lots of Kaleidoscope. It was perhaps used more subtly in the first part, I definitely agree with that. Although I don't expect to completely leave the Kaleidoscope behind yet, I am a sucker for it, for now.
