Enter midi-map mode?

Post by Astroblob »

Hi, how to enter midi-map mode?

I like to work with magic and a Akai apc40 midi controller to trigger effects, forward or backward clips, next scene, change parameters etc.

In Resolume Arena you can enter a midi map mode and by hitting the specific area you want to trigger and clicking on a button on the Apc 40 it safes a midi mapping.

Is this possible in Magic?

I only see "disable all midi" I like to activate all midi and assign hardware buttons/sliders to the interface

Hey Hans,

Assuming you have the performer edition...

The is no MIDI mapping 'mode' per se. It is always available but you need to have a MIDI source first:

Then click on any source (label) to assign that parameter to midi control

With the APC you'll probably just be using CC control change but you can have params respond to most midi events

There are special midi learn features for modifiers and the playlist:

There is a fairly simple tutorial in the User's Guide: https://magicmusicvisuals.com/downloads ... #MIDILearn
