Toon Styling again.

Post by visuality »

Audio: Goldie: Inner City Life

Made from a Dying Swan Ballet video, I just wanted to capture the motion and silhouette of the dancer and transform the original video into something beautiful that appears to be a motion graphic. This is 100% processed in magic.

Excellent. Like the dancer treatment and the background shapes and colours - keeps a classic feel. The freezing of the video works very well as does the trails. I'm wary of pushing the speed of people too high - I feel they start to look Benny Hill-ish - but you just about get away with it in the video. Nice one.

Thanks for the compliments, No stop motion in this version, just wanted to post it so people can see how radically a single node can affect the end result. What is best is always a matter of preference. This is smoother, it still uses the "Crop" feature of the video node combined with a "Hold" and "smooth" on that node to zoom in and out smoothly or abruptly. Both also use the power of the audio to Drive the speed of playback on the video node to control the dancers speed, I used a multiplier to get twice the speed when more musical energy exist.
