Visuals, mostly made with vectors

Post by visuality »

Did not check this one for errors, just posted before I ran out. This was all made in magic. There were shaders used, a mix of ISF and GLSL ShaderToy but none them were scene shaders, I created the scenes, some better than others. everything is made with and in Magic except for the video content. There are maby 5 scenes in this demo, these are various experiments. Hope everyone has | had a great LD weekend. Audio Track by "Blunted Dummies".

All good IMHO, but my favourite section by far is from 2:00 to 3:00. Very powerful and effective.

Hey Visuality!

I'm really digging this video and song. You do a really nice job of keeping things minimal but very important. The video isn't cluttered at all nor do I see a bunch of random things flying everywhere haha. Everything looks intentional and on purpose. Keep up the great work dude!!! 10/10

Reaction Diffusion Patch, have fun. Not perfect, but effective ( I cant seem to get those cool little shapes but it is alive ), you will have to play with it for some time but you can allot of different looks out of it. Still working on this method but this what I want to grunge up text, for a glitchy look.

Nicely done Visuality. I agree with other commenters that the simplicity and understated nature of this is the real hook. I particularly liked the sequence that starts around 1:00. It has a lot of depth, and I have a soft-spot for that sweeping "radar-style" waveform. (I used a similar one at a performance last fall, combined with an extrusion using the Video Heightfield ISF). :-)

Thanks Nick, the scene you are referring to was my attempt at a rose stem on a grass bed, the entire scene is made of sound waves bent with shader space warps and positioned with magic's built in position and rotation nodes. Ill keep trying till I get it right :D
