Annotations

Post by Sadler »

This type of thing one can do right now...
This is just an empty scene called Annotation included in another scene with its annotation showing.

It would be very convenient if certain annotation elements could:
  1. 1. Be added automagically to the node (e.g. midi assignments, FPS, used RAM/DRAM, spout status, BPM, gain, etc)
    2. Could update in realtime and show status or warnings depending on element
    3. Have user editable labels and ad hoc annotation
    4. Colour and size should (possibly) be fully configurable (realising this might over complicate the UI)
I understand that it is difficult to know if a midi button is set-up for toggle or momentary or even if a control is a knob or a slider but it would be great to have on screen indication for such things.

Hmm, yes, that would be very useful. I was thinking about someday adding a "Console" window which displays all kinds of status and diagnostic info in real-time, but I like your idea better, because it would be more obvious what module it pertains to.
