Windows 10 built-in video capture

Post by Magic »

I came across this article today, and I thought it might be useful for some of you:

Apparently there is a screen-recording function built-in to the operating system which I didn't know about. I haven't tested it, so I'm not sure if it's better than NVidia's ShadowPlay (http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/shadowplay).

To me, the most interesting part is the screenshot keyboard shortcut (Alt+Win+Print Screen), which saves the screenshot to an image file automatically, instead of requiring it to be pasted into Photoshop or something. Much better! :)

Of course, the best way to create videos in Magic is to use the File > Export Movie function, but it doesn't work for live interaction, so the above method may be a good alternative solution.

Happy capturing!
