Hi,
I suspect this may probably not be magic releated,
I am just trying this software out and whenever I export a video higher than 1080p using openh264 codec, its really choppy
it is just the waveform module with nothing else
However if i export said file via Apple ProRes HQ its perfect no chopiness at all
All files are being saved to a GEN 4 samsung nvme SSD
However as I test I have exported the mp4 @ 2k and 4k to youtube and they play fine. Does anybody have any idea why this is, ?
quick question on export format
Re: quick question on export format
Very strange. You would expect ProRes to be more choppy than mp4 because ProRes has a much higher data rate.
So yes, it must be something with your computer but I can't say what exactly.
If you're uploading to YouTube then you should use ProRes anyway, it will be much higher quality.

Thanks Eric,
Yes its very strange.
I think i have found the issue, it seeems to be to do with the codec I put the files through handbrake and they are fine, however I will stick with the supperior ProRes format

Re: quick question on export format
I've been looking at the Apple Pro Res 422 HQ render sizes etc
According to my tests tonight - 1 minute of Apple Pro Res 422 HQ video equals 2.44GB
Something to remember before uploading to YouTube etc...
p.s don't know how much this HQ quality will be affected by YouTube when the upload is processed?
