Does anyone have experience with connecting an AKAI MPC Live with MMV?
It doesn't seem to recognize/find the device when I search for an input.
Connecting MPC Live with MMV
Re: Connecting MPC Live with MMV
Are you trying to use it for audio input or for MIDI input?
Re: Connecting MPC Live with MMV
So it doesn't show up in the drop-down list, as described in https://magicmusicvisuals.com/downloads ... #MIDIInput?
Re: Connecting MPC Live with MMV
I have an MPC One which uses the same software as MPC Live.
I am assuming the standalone mode foe the MPC
With a MIDI DIN connection the interface the MIDI comes through did show up in the available connections.
I my case the iConnectAUDIO4+ DIN source was listed as a source.
Following the example in the manual I could configure a MIDI track to have pad presses as notes to trigger NEXT and PREVIOUS scenes.
However I would not recommend MPCs as controllers since with my limited experience they seem to be very modal. That is when triggering clips or sequences it is difficult to trigger Magic controls separately. (I will stand corrected on this though).
Mapping the QLink knows to CC values is possible but the mode the MPC in overrides those controls. So if you a triggering clips the knobs are for sound, effects and master controls. (I will stand corrected on this though).
If you want easy and reliable control of your Magic works then I would suggest a USB controller routed through the MPC .
