Hi!
New user here, just bought the standard license for MMV after playing around with the demo, and I love the software so far!
Very interesting to get into for live use
Is there a way to make physics-enabled objects using the modular/node system? Like tentacles or something similar you could move with the modifiers, preferably without getting too much into GLSL, because I'm a noob hahah.
Thanks in advance, I hope I'm submitting it into the right forum!
PS: I could figure it has something to do with expressions and therefore also Globals, but I can't for the sake of me brain it out lol
Physics?
Re: Physics?
I could maybe think of a way to do it with delays, setting up each translate node with a delay modifier, or could there maybe be an easier way to emulate it using a form of sine/LFO though a Polygon node or something like that, kinda like the BadTV glitch effect?
Re: Physics?
Magic does not currently support physics in the way I think you are asking, but yes, you could use a series of transforms/delays/oscillators/etc.
Re: Physics?
So I did a little bit experimenting with the idea, and used some of Sadler's teachings for globals, even though this has nothing to do with the effect itself, just playing around with how a multiplied effect would look like.
Anything out of frame goes to output:

Is there a more expressive way of doing it that could be used like a waveform, or is that only possible with particles like DrawWithMouse?

I don't know what that is...?or is that only possible with particles like DrawWithMouse?
Re: Physics?
It's just a simple plugin Sadler used for one of his videos about how volume works through modifiersI don't know what that is...?
