From Magic to Resolume : Sprout output sender name ??

ok, i read the manual, turned on the sprout output, i can see the S in the info, but i can't find the stream anywhere ??
If i open up a Sprout receiver, i need a " sender name", what is Magic's Sprout sender name ??
Nothing in the sprout panel either ? Same in Resolume, no stream ??

i've checked the Sprout forums and the Resolume forums, no info on Magic sprout output...........
someone managed to get Magic v1.52 into Resolume Avenue 4.1.8, with Sprout 2.0 ???

Magic's sender name is "Magic Main Sender".

Here it is sending to the Spout Demo Receiver:

Does Spout work for you in other apps besides Magic?

Make sure you have the Spout Receiver FFGL installed as a SOURCE in Resolume.

Run Magic. Set up a scene and then Window->Magic Window Options->Spout Output.

Run Resolume. Drag Spout Receiver Source onto an empty cell. CLICK ON THE CELL!

Click on Select Sender and you will see a small window with "Magic Main Sender" in it.

If you don't see this window then you haven't copied SpoutPanel.exe into the Resolume directory. Copy it and start again.

If you do see the window click Select.

You should now see Magic output inside Resolume.

Sorry to jump on someone else's thread, but this is exactly the problem I am having.
I can pick up the Magic Main Sender using the Spout Demo Receiver (although I have experienced a few crashes of the receiver while testing) but nothing's coming though on the SpoutReceiver whithin Resolume no matter if I choose it by name or select it under the choices.
My laptop's got Optimus graphics if that makes a difference (globally set to the nVidia card) Is there anything else I can try.
Great software BTW, bought within 20mins of firing up the demo!

Hmm, I'm not sure. It seems to work for me using Sadler's instructions above. Does the SpoutPanel window appear when you click on the "Select Sender" button?

A bit more trouble shooting today.
Seems to work if I start the Spout Sender Demo, then Resolume, then Magic, choose the Spout demo in Resolume, then swap to Magic Main Sender.
This will work until I want to try a different scene in Magic, at which point I have to shut all programs and restart in the order above to get the signal back again.

Ok, thanks. I think I remember seeing a post on the Spout forums about a bug with Optimus, so maybe that's what's going on. I'll investigate further.

Thanks for the help Eric, there was a bug with older nVidia drivers, but not with the ones I'm using. (347.25)

I didn't find anything unfortunately, but for the next version of Magic I am adding the option to use the newer version of Spout (v2). I should be releasing the Beta to the mailing list pretty soon, so you can give it a try and let me know if it's an improvement at all.
