Video/Audio Capture while in Magic
Video/Audio Capture while in Magic
If I want to capture the audio and the visuals and record them to make a video. Can I do this with the Studio version? I see there is an export movie object but when start it my visuals stop. What's the easiest way to do this? To capture your visuals with audio while in Magic?
Re: Video/Audio Capture while in Magic
Magic won't record live audio (thru VB-Cable etc.), live midi, Spout in and similar live stuff during movie export. If you want to capture live output and live audio you'll need a video capture facility. Magic will respond to audio, midi etc during movie export if its loaded as a file into Input Sources.

Thanks for clearing that up on VB-Cable, that will save me any unneeded headaches.Magic won't record live audio (thru VB-Cable etc.), live midi, Spout in and similar

I think Performer provides a video capture facility for you, right? I'll upgrade and find out. I'll need those features pretty soon anyways. If you want to capture live output and live audio you'll need a video capture facility.
FWIW, I used Export Movie with a audio file and it records the audio but the visuals aren't present. Of course, all of this is new so it's something I'm doing wrong so will look into. Thanks for your patience!

No, Performer won't help. Look here: https://magicmusicvisuals.com/forums/vi ... 220&p=5650

Thanks Eric, after several, several hours of trying to figure out how capture and record the video/audio in real-time I gave up and came back to try the Export Movie another time...and ugh, I feel like an idiot..haha...when Exporting Movie, I was forgetting to switch it over to the audio file and instead was leaving it on the VB-Audio Virtual Cable.
edit: All that being said, I just realized I don't need all of that (audio/video recording) because I can just create everything with scenes, then export movie...pays to RTFM...lol...thanks all.
