Spectrum help!

Post by GM_Rod »

Hello!

Just downloaded this and have been having the best time with it. Amazing stuff!

Now, being a noob at it, I can't get it to do what I want.
I got close!

In the attached screenshot you can see it.
It's a spectrum with the bars mirrored top to bottom;
Left half is left channel, right half is right channel.
But it's all white. I just need it to do the green/yellow/red colors as each bar gets louder.
Now, to be specific, I don't want the whole bar to CHANGE based on volume. I want the bars to be full green if they're not reaching "yellow" levels, and then red.
So most of the time it'd all be green, then loud-ish peaks would still be mostly green, and the TIP would change to yellow, and even louder hits would then get a red tip.

Any help on this is much appreciated!

Thanks guys.

Create an image of three wide rectangles coloured green, yellow and red in the correct proportions. Then mask the image with your spectrum. You can mask using the mask node or the blend node with multiply.
