Hello,
I have downloaded and started to use the demo version. I am wondering if I could use this software for a live feed to facebook? Through using a stream key Also is it possible to use audio from a usb device (DJ equipment).

I have spent a little amount searching through the forum and have watched the introductory videos on youtube, but I am still to find the answers I am looking for.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,
Philip Foster

i made a picture of my humble set up https://imgur.com/4YC6Puy

from left to right

dj controller booth output goes to my magic computer ( external audio device ) my master goes 2 streaming rig a simple hp elite 800 or something with video card and maximum memory software obs and re stream to stream directly to youtube persicope ( periscope is back in business ) and fb live

ps say goodby to your spare time:) when i decide to stream i always fillde for some hours with my shaders... there are audio adaptive shaders on git hub

don't spend to much time on tutorials on you tube .. the are mad for them self and view not to help you

Hey Philip,

Get NDI Tools from NewTek: https://ndi.tv/tools/#download-tools
Get NDI Magic plugins via: https://magicmusicvisuals.com/resources
Get OBS
Get NDI for OBS: https://github.com/Palakis/obs-ndi/releases/tag/4.7.1

Set up NDI as a source in OBS and enter your stream key for wherever you want to stream to.
Output to NDI directly from Magic

It works a charm but actual streaming wasn't too successful for me - early days.

Possibly an even easier method is https://github.com/Off-World-Live/obs-s ... rce-plugin. Haven’t tried it tho.

Eric, the method you mentioned works perfectly for me! The only thing I struggled with was not realizing I had to enable Spout output in the Magic file. Window>Magic window options>Check Spout output. Do the same thing for the "use Spout v2" option. It saved me so much trouble! Thank you!

Hello my Magic Family !

I don't want to open a new topic, so I'll ask here.

I wasn't able to find in the forum, if there are steps to import OBS stream into Magic ?
My goal is that one musician will stream his video to me (via OBS), then I'll capture it in Magic and from there I will stream with my own OBS on his FB page :) . Am I crazy to think this can happen ? :D :D :D

I've found out how to stream from OBS to FB:
https://www.wikihow.tech/Live-Stream-Yo ... ebook-Live

My only missing step is how to import the OBS stream into Magic ?

I have a backup plan, where I will use ManyCam to capture the incoming stream and import it into Magic as a webcam, but I hope to find an easier solution.

Thank you for your time guys!!!

Regards,
S.

As discussed above, your options for bringing any other app directly into Magic (without an intermediate app) are Spout/Syphon or NDI. I don't know if OBS can output either of those formats. You would need to ask them I guess. Or maybe someone else here knows.
