Audioresponsive Edit?

Hi Dear Magic Users

Just started up with Magic and I am pretty hyped.

But one important question:

Can Magic edit from one scene to the next, reacting on music or midi input?

I know sounds like a simple question, but for Resolume it was not possible in the end.
Would be very happy for some help.

All the Best
Stan

The Performer edition of Magic has MIDI control of the Playlist.

MIDI can be used for navigating forward or backward in the playlist or to select a specific scene.

This is great. Thanks a lot!

Is there any way though, to make scene changes through a certain velocity or pitch in live recorded sound?

Yes, you can use modules like Mix, Multimix, or InputSelector to change their input based on MIDI velocity or audio pitch.

The above are all Layers Modules. For changing between scenes this way, use Scene Modules as inputs to these. The Mix and Multimix can give a gradual fade between scenes, whereas the InputSelector will always give an instant cut. On the MultiMix module, you'll probably find that the Smooth and Repeat parameters are useful.

Sorry, I should have thought of all this when replying to your original post!
