Uploading Magic Music Visuals to Youtube

Post by HarryLawson »

I have selected my resolution to be at 1280, and at 60 frames per second. However, the video comes out incredibly pixelated to the point of not being able to make out some of the images.

What can I do to upload my videos to Youtube at an actual HD level?

usually yt recompresses the video, so in order ro get nnice quality try to use more bitrate. for 1280x720@30fps i usually chose 5-10Mbit/s, so for 60fps 10-20Mbit/s. to account for yts recompression i'd double that again, so 20-40 Mbit/s.

If you want actual fullhd, use 1920x1080 and 40-80Mbit/s.

cheers

please ignore my spelling, i'm on my phone :)

I tried uploading with various qualities - up to 60Mbps - and it still turned out really bad once uploaded to YouTube. Solution was to download the free software DaVinchi Resolve - and convert it with the "YouTube" preselected format (quicktime and h264) I used 30Mbps for a 60fps video clip, and it FINALLY turned out nicely :D

Hope this helps & have a GREAT day - without frustrating failed uploads. I know VERY well how annoying this can be, LOL!!!

BTW - the video i uploaded was 1280x720 resolution @ 60fps. 30Mbps did not give a PERFECT result - but it was at least decent...
