Reset a module parameter to default by double-click
I would like to reset a parameter in a module to its default value by double-clicking on its name. I have often found this to be convenient when using Resolume. For example, in a Scale module, double-clicking on "X" would set the value of X to its default of 1.0 if modifiers were not active.

Re: Supported Video Capture Devices?
Do you see your Canopus capture device listed in the VidCap module's "Device" drop-down box? I had no trouble feeding Firewire/IEEE-1394 miniDV camcorders into Magic. They are available very cheaply now that their tape format is virtually obsolete, and the image quality looks great to me w...

Re: glut32.dll is missing
I had this issue. Quick & Dirty: It works if you put all the supporting DLL's (from the download's "dlls" subdirectory) in Magic's installation directory, and the FFGLFireworks DLL somewhere on the normal module search path. This fits with the instructions, which say "Copy these f...

Re: image and video module: load random img/video
I like the idea of a playlist for the video module. Perhaps add audio / MIDI control of vid choice from the list: - Forward - Back - Random - Specific I can forsee challenges in buffering this if there are separate video files, so maybe much easier to have a playlist that's actually a list of start ...

Is it sufficient to look at whether the chooser/path has been triggered by the MouseUp event on the GLSLShader's file box? - or perhaps just "push" a path to the default file when the module is created by Add>Special>GLSLShader, and "pop" back to the user's lastpath afterwards?

Playlist: Option to "Overwrite" as well as "Insert"
When creating a video, it's often desirable to be able to punctuate an existing (perhaps relatively uneventful) sequence with a "blip" of something else. One does not want any previous or subsequent content changed. This would be known as an "overwrite edit" in video terms. I fin...

If the default filter is "*.*" no-one will have extra clicks unless they want/need to filter. Would be fine by me.
Otherwise perhaps add a configuration option for an arbitary default filter or a "LastFilter" memory.

Annotation - keep visible when module minimised (option)
When a module has annotation, it would be very helpful if this could (optionally) remain visible when the module is minimised. Minimising can greatly help when arranging modules in a complex scene, but it's a pity to lose detailed description of purpose/function. All functional info is lost when a s...

Re: how many different live audio signals can magic handle?
A further thought, which may lessen the CPU load in the case of one input per instrument: There's no need for a frequency-dependent response to isolate instruments from a mix. Volume-response alone could then be sufficient for many aspects of an instrument's "scene", whereas otherwise freq...
