Re: Reverse effect input.

You can add a Scale modifier of -1.0 and Offset modifier of 1.0 The Invert modifier is a shortcut for that. It's a common operation, so it's worth having one modifier instead of two, even though they accomplish the same thing. Indeed, but then there's Just one adjustment. One loses the facility to ...

Re: Reverse effect input.

This could be a starting point, if I understand your requirement correctly. You can add a Scale modifier of -1.0 and Offset modifier of 1.0. Then the Color Monochrome module will output monochrome at zero volume, and saturation will increase with volume. Use a more negative Scale value to make the m...

Yes, you can use modules like Mix, Multimix, or InputSelector to change their input based on MIDI velocity or audio pitch. The above are all Layers Modules . The instance count need not be explicit and a "Multi-instance" checkbox would be sufficient. Outputs could be added to match the actual number of input noodles, which would nicely match the way in which input pins are added.

"Scale to Fit" option for JpegFolder module

A client has given me a collection of JPEG images which he would like to be incorporated into some visuals. Some images are very wide, perhaps having a 3:1 aspect ratio. I tried using the JpegFolder, but many images are severely cropped at the sides as the JpegFolder module is always filling the hei...

Re: Graphics values available as read-only Global variables

Emphatically no! :o A fixed aspect ratio would give huge black bars at the sides in some venues or huge grey bars top and bottom in others! I naturally want to use the full width and height of any venue's projector and screen! At the moment Magic provides no native means to divide a screen evenly r...

However, at present this very feature can cause translation issues when the aspect ratio changes between venues. Three...

Graphics values available as read-only Global variables

I have some scenes which I need to adjust "manually" depending on the aspect ratio, and others (using feedback) which need adjusting for different frame rates. Could we have the following "Status Information" values available as Global read-only variables so they could be incorpo...

Re: Permit feedback around a series of modules

Update: Using Spout I've just realised that under Windows I can use Spout senders and receivers to enable feedback around a series of modules, although there are some issues. 1) There is an apparent problem with levels, and blacks sometimes get crushed. The fix seems arbitrary. 2) The Spout Receiver...

Bigfug has updated his plugins to 64 bit for Resolume. They work in Magic Music Visuals 64 bit!... IMO still good value at £19.99 for the set even if one only uses the feedback module (it gives much cleaner results than the Zooming Feedback ISF). https://www.bigfug.com/product/bigfug-ffgl-effects-f...

2.11b - Inadvertent module reset

I often inadvertently reset a module when I'm trying to copy it, which can be very disruptive to my design process if I don't realise that this has happened!

I'm sure I must be a bit too click-happy when I'm copying, but please restrict the reset functionality to a left-button double-click.

Add selected Folder Panel scenes as Scene modules

When a large number of scenes are desired as inputs to (eg) a MultiMix module it would be neat to be able to select the scenes in the Folder Panel and have a menu option to add them all as Scene modules to the Edit window.

The difference is the algorithm. I'm not sure if I could explain it without getting into the math -- how much detail are you looking for? :ugeek: The math would be fine thanks! Edit: I'm particularly interested in the time window over which the smoothing is applied, whether the window is rectangula...
