With a combination of Increase, Clamp and Smooth modifiers you can have elements move into position on scene change. Perhaps not as easily as the OBS plugin but certainly with more control and options.

After your expression use a Ramp modifier set to 0. The output of your switch then becomes the rotation speed. It is quite satisfying to use a dollop of smoothing after the expression to give a soft start to the rotation.

No, I mean change the visual according to changes in the music. I would say, with trance, that the visual should adapt every two bars or every half minute. Some music needs more some less and in your extract I'd be more intrigued if there were 5 or 6 visual changes.

You could adapt the timer idea adding a bit of maths for converting your tempo into seconds and changing the wraps to suit your time signature. You'd have to track your tempo and other attributes if they're changing but Magic is certainly capable.

I could open these in 32bit Magic. This project 'disappeared' Magic in 64bit for me also. Not much interesting in the Event log but the crash was in there. I couldn't see anything obvious that would cause a crash but didn't go through everything.

You can do it with NDI. Either have the same scene go to multiple outputs or different scenes to multiple outputs. NDI would have to stay active for each output though and your frame-rate will take a hit.

Do you mean 20 seconds? Then use an Increase modifier on the Input # set to 1/20 or 0.05. The value will increase reaching 1 after 20 seconds then 2 after another 20 seconds.

I picked your blue and rendered it from Magic to MP4 and the colour shifted a bit (~ 3%). Have you tried different file formats?

This is fairly simple. Use a trigger on the source of (say) Y rotation. As a trigger increments by one (360 degrees) scale it by the angle you want - 0.25 for a cube. Since the cube will rotate 90 degrees instantly, you won't see the rotation until you add some smoothing.

My guess would be your are, at times, trying to push 25MB frames at 30FPS = 750MB/sec. Is your HD fast enough? Not to mention overlapping these in your test comp - more bandwidth required. The best laid plans o' mice and men!

Imagine where you want the point of rotation to be then move that position to the centre of the screen. Then apply your rotation and move the element to wherever you need it. There is an order of operations when dealing with transforms.

Your arithmetic is off. Trying work it out on paper can help. As an example using these modifiers in this order: Scale(0.1), Offset(0.1), Increase (0), Wrap (2), Scale (-1). Unless you want transparency I'd recommend rendering to MP4 (or another video format) from Magic then using Ally to convert to DXV for Resolume.

Thanks Eric. That's certainly worth keeping in mind. In this instance, with the rotating buildings, reducing (or increasing) the resolution destroys the effect. All the windows get crushed together since I did not use image scaling on the images for the window tiles. They have their own aspect ratio...

Normally to have a video sync throughout you'd just put it into its own scene then include that scene wherever you need it. But I don't think that would help you in this situation. Here's a new piece of work. I created this using the iterator to tile images of windows into rectangular planes. You need a lot of discipline to keep within the 3d realm and it is definitely not real-time - render out only.

You could. Large models would take some moments to load however. You cannot automate a camera per se, but you can rotate and transform models thereby effectively moving the camera.
You would be better off using a a shader to simulate galaxies rather than polygons.

Well, IDK Reaper but I guess it is acting like an ASIO device somehow and therefore Magic hears it through ASIO4All. VLC and Firefox aren't ASIO devices - you'll need a software audio router for those and other apps.

Check for, odd characters in the path, permissions, file corruption, a funky JPG format, try other directories on your SSD, do a chkdsk - assuming your not on a mac.

Eric is right for real extrusion, better off creating them elsewhere. However it is possible to fake them in real-time to a certain extent.

Assuming your 'lips' have an alpha channel, scale and blur a copy then multiply with a swirling texture. Then place the untouched image on top. It won't interact with the edges of the lips but it will be close to the effect you want.
